Amino Acids

What are amino acids?   Think of them like letters of the alphabet.  When you combine letters in various ways, you make different words. The same goes for amino acids — when you combine them in various ways, you make different proteins. 

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Your body has thousands of different proteins-- each having an important job.

Unfortunately, for some, dietary restrictions may prevent them a proper diet.  In these cases, amino acids supplements are the answer. However, a diet that contains sufficient protein from meat, fish, dairy products, and eggs are typically all that is needed to build amino acids.
